1. Information we collect
- Personal details: Your full name and 10-digit mobile number collected at login via OTP. Your physical address is collected only when you place a booking.
- Location data: Live GPS location may be collected from service partners during active bookings for ETAs and safety. Customers are not continuously tracked.
- Verification documents: Partners upload government-issued ID (Aadhaar / PAN) for background verification. Documents are stored in an encrypted cloud vault.
- Booking records: Service details, status, timestamps, and categories are stored to manage history and resolve disputes.
- Device & usage data: Basic browser/device information may be collected to improve performance. No advertising trackers are used.
2. How we use your information
Your data is used solely to operate and improve City Heros:
- To match customers with nearby verified professionals.
- To send OTPs, booking confirmations, and notifications via SMS or WhatsApp.
- To verify and onboard service partners safely.
- To enforce safety protocols, investigate disputes, and prevent fraud.
- To improve platform quality and partner performance ratings.
3. Data sharing & third parties
We never sell your personal data to advertisers or marketers. Data is shared only in these limited cases:
- Service partners: Your name and booking address are shared with the assigned partner only after confirmation.
- Infrastructure providers: We use trusted services such as Supabase, Firebase, and Vercel. They have their own privacy policies.
- Legal requirements: Data may be disclosed if required by law or to protect user and partner safety.
4. Data security
We use industry-standard measures including HTTPS for data in transit, encrypted storage for verification documents, and OTP-based authentication (no passwords stored). Access to sensitive partner documents is limited to authorised administrators.
5. Data retention
We retain account data and booking history while your account is active. Partner verification documents are retained for at least 12 months after the last active booking. Inactive accounts with no bookings may be deleted after 24 months.
6. Your rights
- Access: Request a copy of personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Update your name or contact details via support.
- Deletion: Request account and data deletion anytime. Processed within 7 business days.
- Opt-out: Opt out of non-essential notifications via WhatsApp support.

7. Children's privacy
City Heros is not intended for persons under 18 without parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. Child Care bookings are initiated by adult guardians on behalf of minors.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect service or legal changes. Significant updates will be communicated in-app or via SMS/WhatsApp. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
